Carla Carmona

Carla Carmona (b. Seville, 1982) has a doctorate from the University of Seville and currently teaches Philosophy at the University of Extremadura. A specialist in Vienna in the latter half of the 19th century, she has published numerous articles on the painting and the world view of Egon Schiele, and on the thought and the aesthetic dimension of Ludwig Wittgenstein. Her book The Pictoric Idea of Egon Schiele: An Essay on Representational Logic (2012), and her role as director of the journal Egon Schiele Jahrbuch, deserve special mention.
