María Negroni

María Negroni is an Argentine writer, poet, and translator. She has published the poetry collections Arte y Fuga, Islandia, Interludio en Berlín, Exilium, Archivo Dickinson, and Oratorio, among others, is author of the essays Museo Negro, Galería Fantástica, Pequeño Mundo Ilustrado, and El arte del error, and also of the novels El sueño de Úrsula, La Anunciación, and El corazón del daño. She has received a Guggenheim Fellowship for Poetry, the Siglo XXI International Essay Prize, the PEN Award for Poetry in Translation (PEN America, New York), and the Margarita Hierro International Poetry Prize. Her work has been translated into English, French, Italian, Swedish, and Portuguese. Alcantilado has published her essay La idea natural (The Natural Idea, 2024) and Elegía Joseph Cornell (Elegy for Joseph Cornell, 2026).
