Original Title: Tiempo adentro
If any of you ever see him, tell him that I miss him,
Tell him that I keep him at the back of my eyes,
That only for him I have raised with my hands
A pulpit with views of the ocean,
And that I am waiting for him there,
Stuck to oblivion,
Clinging to my memories, like a shipwrecked sailor
To a wooden plank,
Clumsily.
Praises
«Vela crowns the first cycle of his literary trajectory. Here, both the rhythm – at times tense, at others fluid – and the images, the symbols and the contrasts are put to the service of an ambitious, complex and expressive conceptualisation».
Luis García Jambrina, ABC
«Finally, there arrives on the scene a poet who is romantic, different, who speaks of profound, substantial things».
Alejandro López Andrada, Diario de Córdoba
«He has ambition and, for certain, quality. And he keeps alive a poetic tradition that many thought was no longer with us».
Luis García Jambrina, Blanco y Negro Cultural
