Sandra Santana

Sandra Santana (b. Madrid, 1978) is a poet, translator and teacher at the University of Saragossa. She has a doctorate from the Completense University of Madrid and has undertaken postgraduate study at the University of Vienna and at the Humboldt University of Berlin. As a translator, she has published poems by Ernst Jandl, Karl Kraus (Words in Verse, 2005) and Peter Handke (Living Without Poetry, 2009; Translation Prize of the Austrian Ministry of Education, Art and Culture). She has published two books of her own poems: March Through the Desert (2004) and The Verb is So Fragile (2008). Poems by her have been included in several anthologies and have been translated into German, English and Portuguese.
