Francisco Rico

Francisco Rico (b. 1942) is a philologist and historian who has spent the past half century teaching literature. Amongst his publications the following stand out: his new editions of Lazarillo de Tormes and Don Quixote for the Biblioteca Clásica of the Real Academia Española, Portraits in the Mirror (Boccaccio, Petrarch) (Rome-Padua, Editrice Antenore), Gabbiani e I venerdì del Petrarca (Milan, Adelphi), Cervantine Annals. Notes in the Margin for a Centenary (Barcelona, Arpa), as well as the correspondence between Yakov Malkiel and María Rosa Lida, Love and Philology (Acantilado, 2017).
