Antonio Monegal Brancós

Antonio Monegal (Barcelona, 1957) is Professor of Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature at the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. With a degree in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona, he obtained a doctorate at Harvard in 1989, and taught at Cornell University until he returned to Spain. His books include Luis Buñuel de la literatura al cine (1993) and En los límites de la diferencia: Poesía e imagen en las vanguardias hispánicas (1998), and he is editor of García Lorca’s Works Viaje a la luna (1994), El público and El sueño de la vida (2000), as well as of the anthologies Literatura y pintura (2000) and Política y (po)ética de las imágenes de guerra (2007)
